262 - "Step, step...hit": Battle axe vs home invasion (VIDEO)
Ancient solutions to modern problems part two
Here’s the second part of the topics touched on in last Wednesday’s private weapon study workshop.
This 33 year old man took a break from watching Rick and Morty cartoons to fight off a violent home invasion. He casually describes rising from a seated position while reaching for a replica battle axe and striking the intruder - “Step, step…hit”.
It’s a medieval image that’s conjured of this attacker fleeing while losing blood and being chased by dogs. He and his creepy eye tattoo are soon captured.
Again, like in part one, this is a man who enjoys ancient weapon training as a hobby and has managed to successfully implement what he has learned in order to defend himself and his property.
There is truly nothing new under the sun. It works now just as it did hundreds and indeed, thousands of years ago.
He doesn’t look fit or athletic by any stretch and the footage of the “fights” he enjoys would be ridiculed by MMA internet fanboys or “Reality based” devotees but no one, least of all, theorists can argue with the success he had in actual combat.
This is a lesson in itself.

I remember you discussing this little episode at one of our training sessions and it was well worth a watch! I’m sure a dude a pixie hat swinging a battle axe was the last thing this prick was expecting when he was selecting his next victim! Here’s to being creative when shit hits the fan.
