My comments are in brackets below, Jeth.)
“Hello Jethro,
(private content removed) …
as promised a pic of my workout area I have claimed in the garage.
So, treadmill on left, (can’t always get the motivation to run in poor weather, plus can’t watch Netflix whilst running in street). Mat with various kettlebells (multitude of exercises to be had), 20kg sandbag type for further punishment, and exercise bench.
Right hand side is the 3 punchbags, blue wave master movable so able to arrange different multiple opponents scenarios, punchbag with red stripe can be taken down for ground work as well.
Selection of tools on wall to keep things interesting, had to cover window as not all neighbours are as enlightened as us!
So, just working on the war post now!
Look after yourself

(Jeth - It’s always fascinating to see how different people set up areas to practice and how the emphasis is slightly different each time.
I’m particularly interested in this one as it has a focus on the ability to practice key tactics for fights against multiple aggressors as well as ground work which is testament to the owner’s considerable (and relevant…) life experience.
Kit is correctly centred around fighting and conditioning for fighting, rather than strength training.
I’m seeing resistance being used here to augment callisthenics and fight practice rather than generic bodybuilding which can divert focus both physically and mentally.
Having applicable conditioning options for the weather, thus eliminating excuses, is a good way of not slipping behind in training and practice.
The treadmill is therefore, a real advantage here.
“Warriors run” as our mutual friend Hock Hochheim would say.
The idea of making this private and not allowing others to see your training is a smart move and one that I follow personally too.
If the uneducated think you’re doing a boxing fitness workout they won’t bat an eyelid.
If they see you realistically training for survival fighting, including the reality of weapons, their lack of understanding can be an actual threat to you if you were ever forced to justifiably defend yourself and facing legal persecution for it.
If a post were added here, it would allow for fantastic impact conditioning and again, away from public areas.
Even if the curtains were left open, some of the weapons are cannily stored below eye line, under the window.
The less others know about us in these artificially polarised times, the better.
Good to hear from you, as always my friend, and thank you for sharing this. Jeth)
