Friday 17_11_23 (Private training)

Continuing work focusing on issues facing vulnerable young men experiencing aggression while using public transport and spaces.

Tuesday 21_11_23 (Open training)

Tonight’s surviving edged weapons work was a lead-on from the disruptive tactics work of last week.

Before we went any further…

Adrenaline

Knife work and counter knife work are dangerously easy to teach in some ways and in others, well - the extreme opposite. The latter case being true if you take it seriously.

It’s little effort to make a few facile comments and then launch into an hour of crap that merely shows techniques and dangerous fantasy.

Non-awareness and freezing

It’s an entirely different thing to realise that this subject is amorphous, complex and may potentially befall an individual without their awareness of what is happening or that with actual awareness, fear can overtake them to the point of not being able to actuate the training they have received in order to survive a real incident.
