“Field stripping the ice pick stab defence
This was ultimately the sole subject of tonight’s workshop. It turned into an opportunity for me to really deep dive into possibilities for defence and countering as the group were doing really well - so, we jettisoned other material and went for it with this.
Watching each student, seeing what they come up with and then taking the rest of the group that way with possible other ideas to try in addition. Somewhat selfish fun as a coach but the results were solid.
We repeated the core skills learned so far when defending the overhead descending stab to the face/neck/heart.”
