Awareness and the “Known unknown”:
So far in this series, I have looked at specific types of situations.
The context so far has been dealing with an unknown person, in a public setting and I’ve looked at ideas relating to managing that interaction to increase your safety.
The term “Known unknown”, with reference to the subject matter at hand, would represent someone who you don’t know, whose presence you are aware of but at this point have no information about them to make a decision as to whether they represent a threat to you or not.
Ideally, you have the time and space to act on any negative vibes that you experience and can avoid potential contact with the individual entirely.
