Body skills: Part one - (16_04_24 Workshop) A description and rudimentary drills
In the scheme of things, if something bad is going down it’s a smart move not to be there! Tactics-wise this is about top in your wish list of responses. But sometimes we can’t just simply “not be there” and get the hell out of Dodge, so we have to resort to the next best thing and develop the ability to find( and indeed get to) safer spaces to occupy to enable us to be intact enough to action our next response.
This first tactic is a basic one, obvious even, but despite instinct, not one that everyone can always perform effectively to make it work when the hands, feet, blunt and/or edged weapons, and projectiles are flying, sometimes, if you’re really unlucky, all at the same time!
Here is an extensive breakdown for supporters along with a list of different drills and ways to develop skill to augment workshop learning and aid home practice.
This list will continue in part two.
