Often you’ll find that whilst looking at one particular tactic, what seems like the ground work needed to set the thing up will open the door to other ideas. This classic grappling idea was a case in point.

The following was studied in the context of being a possible answer to some kind of overarm hooking arm attack towards the left side of your head:

Any over arm punch/ slap

But could also be -

a knife stab*(0)

a knife slash*

a blunt weapon strike - to include (last night):

being pistol whipped with an empty hand gun (their advantage gone, the fight is now on…).

I’ll go through this attack, what you do to counter and then a long list of other options and alternatives that we covered to enable taking the aggressor to the floor and what our goals are in doing this.

We’ll also describe and look at a bunch of other cruel and nasty bonuses that we covered that will totally ruin the day of any bully or street tax collector, including strangles, sweeps, mauling, strikes, crushes…

This will be a long one (14 parts), so get a coffee…(1):

2 Your initial interruption of this attack

3 Next…

4 Your left arm

5 Freeze!

6 A “Drive Thru” takedown

7 Your right hand

8 Your left hand (plus arm)

9 Rewind a bit… a second idea

10 Fun stuff that you can throw in…

11 Alternatives to the clothing grab with your right hand…

12 A strangle tactic alternative…

13 Takedown problem #2…

14 Notes (0, 1, 2)
