The following drill is part of an extended series of ideas to prepare students not just for the physicality of common aggressive situations but also the emotional difficulties that can sabotage what we thought we would do versus what we actually do in crisis.

This is a single individual or group aggression scenario, which I’ll get to in a minute.

It’s a partner drill for a minimum of two people, but I’ll include the idea of working this alone as a solo practice along with some extra details for better results.

I’ll break the idea down into it’s parts and specific details about what each person needs to do to make this work, several uncomfortable truths that need to be considered along the way, another preparatory exercise to do first, UK legalities and also, a really useful question that was asked by one of the guys at the workshop for your consideration.
