“Hi jeth - Fair response? Nice slam.”
Jeth:
Oowwwcchh!
Thanks for sending this to me mate, I did some digging on this clip as by the sound of the crack that skull made when she hit the road, I wasn't sure how badly she was hurt here - apparently she survived OK according to anecdotal comments.
It was also stated that she is known in her area for being an aggressive hothead/bully that likes to start fights and then get her boyfriend involved to dig her out of it in the event of anyone resisting her.
Most of the commentary that I saw was along the lines of laughing at what happened to her and praising the guy for doing it to her, which I can’t join in with.
His ability to lift and throw her (it’s a throw as both of her feet left the floor) is impressive given that he did this while stood on ice which is not an ideal fighting surface by any stretch of the imagination, that took some not inconsiderable strength to pull off.
But aside from impressive mechanics, it was a dumb thing to do. He’d already hit her in the face and immediately went to the throw before she’d probably even registered that she’d been hit. My point being that the punch alone might have been sufficient but throws outside of sports environments have all the potential to be lethal force - death or life altering injury.
More simply, as a prosecutor will frame it in court:
Smaller female vs larger male defender
Male is “slapped” by smaller female (her assault will be downplayed)
Larger male punches her and performs a trained martial arts throw that resulted in…(here a litany of terrible sounding injuries and the long term effects on her life and ability to work will be read out in horrible detail to the jury).
Cue a continuing legal persecution that will ruin the male. Bearing in mind that a court appearance alone may be a loooooooong period of legal stress after the actual event. A gift that will keep on giving.
She sucker punched him, turning and slapping her back if she was in the process of continuing would have been better optics, even the punch can possibly be framed against you because of disparity of force. Shoving her back would have been better again.
“Get out of the fucking car bitch!” - his first mistake is actually doing exactly this, which I guess makes him the aforementioned “Bitch”. Just saying.
“Come on! Put your goddamn hand on me!” - second mistake, he isn’t backing away to the car and controlling her goading set up and encroachment.
Third mistake, the nut is close and he TURNS HIS BACK!
Gets hit pretty good.
More mistakes follow in quick succession.
Here’s another video of a similar slam but the optics will be different as it’s male vs male, aggressor is throwing a punch and the slam is a single response that might at a stretch be able to be put over as the only response from the position the employee found himself in. Maybe…?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this is the correct response and we can’t see how bad the resulting injury will be. It certainly doesn’t look good.
The response looks trained and there will be questions about whether a lesser degree of force could have been used here and again this will be used against you… and your future.
It’s bad optics for the employer too.
“Both of your fists have lawyers attached to them!” (1)
These moves look cool and get adulation in comments sections on social media. The law is not there to back you up, that isn’t how things work at all. If either of the people in these videos had died from the injuries sustained, the applause of a comments section would not be enough to protect from the wreckage that will be brought to the lives of the defenders shown employing high risk moves like these.
“Jeth - using force is like trying to take the smallest bite possible from a shit sandwich.” (2)
Remember that important phrase “Proportionate” that forms part of the tenuous wire that your continued freedom from legal persecution balances upon.

1 - The first of two pieces of good advice I’ve received in the past. This first from Hock Hochheim and it’s one of his best.
2 - This second one was from an old friend of mine that worked doors after many years spent in military police and close protection.
