I’m very happy to share that I am working with James LaFond to publish special print editions of a series of his fiction and non-fiction works under the project name of “Casting Darts Publishing”.

About James LaFond:
James is the author of the classic Paladin Press book “The logic of steel: A fighter’s view of blade and shank encounters” part of a four year study he carried out in the 1990’s called “The violence project”, about knife crime in Baltimore USA, aka “Harm City” as well as many other titles about survival fighting, journalism, fiction and history (most notably “Plantation America”).
He was born in 1963, has been involved in sanctioned and unsanctioned boxing since 1976, as well as being highly experienced in stickfighting, many combat arts and the mean streets of Baltimore and urban America.
Since then he has fought in over 600 stick fights and more than 200 machete duels and is still able to tie his shoes.
I’ve corresponded with James for years now and he has been nothing but supportive of my humble efforts at writing. He has written reviews of my books , contributed to my second book, and invited me to write the foreword to his final book about fighting, “On Combat” (which will now see print as a special edition as part of this project).
It’s an honour to call him my friend.
James has been homeless since June 2018 and lives, in his own words, as a vagabond, travelling and writing about the street level reality of modern America and the human experience of the souls that he meets on the way.
