I’ve always avoided fight scenes in movies, and had never watched boxing, so not much to compare it to, although I did watch some female bare knuckle stuff not that long ago that was really informative. Hockey sticks would definitely make it more interesting - if only because of the change in distance. The throwing of pucks would make it more engaging for the audience, too.
I was watching several of the BKB fights that were free on ewetube as the tactics were more interesting and also the culture was very more pleasant without the low forehead shit talking that goes on in other combat sports.
As the money flows in though, I'm sure it will change.
