PART TWO:
Solo training
So far we’ve just looked at training solo for the learning phase of this movement. Solo work also takes away the subconscious pressure of working with a partner who may be >/< your current skill level and allows you to just focus on whatever you need to and get a hang of things.
Solo work though, can also allow you to ingrain some sub-par performance aspects if you just have your own eyes to work with.
I walked past a gym the other day, one of those ones with the huge windows and people visible from the street “working out” - the spiritual home of the 12-month contract. Seeing someone paying to walk on a flat, zero incline treadmill while I walk past is always amusing, but I digress.
One guy was shadowboxing with headphones on in the middle of the gym…
