What does Jeth teach?
“I don’t teach a martial art, sport or system as a criminal aggressor won’t care what you’ve done when they’re attempting to victimise you!
Rather I specialise in pure self defence information and tactics based on being an average member of the public and specialising for this sole subject area with a focus especially on awareness and avoidance of threats - both physical and legal.
I’m 55 years old and began training when I was a teenager, progressing through Judo, Karate, Jui Jitsu to later training both in the UK and abroad with RBSD schools, MMA, BJJ, Chinese, Japanese ( to black belt) and Russian styles, Boxing, Lee Morrison & Urban Combatives, Kick boxing, various knife methods as well as various weapons studies, long term trainer under W. Hock Hochheim (Force Necessary) and have worked in commercial security jobs as well as homeless projects in the past.
The information that I share is sourced from my life spent training, researching as well as my own experiences” - Jeth

6 - Men’s workshop Pricing and how to book
Weekly Workshop Payments:
There are NO CONTRACTS, NO JOINING FEES, NO UNIFORMS to buy and NO HIDDEN COSTS or other common scams - just simple pay as you go plans:
Option 1) "I want to try a workshop!"
£12 for your first workshop.
Please bring the correct money and pay at the door .
After your first workshop, you will be able to purchase a discounted rate of £10 per training by committing to buying a calendar month block (Pay as you go).
There are no recurring payments, you simply pay at the beginning of each month (E-Bank or correct cash on the first training of the month).
Option 2) "I want to train every week!"
For those that wish to train regularly, workshops (and any other fees) are paid for in advance in one-month blocks by bank transfer (or cash) before the first workshop of the month., a discount rate of £10 per workshop is then applied . An invoice will be sent to you at the start of the month.
Payments must be made by the first training date of that month. Late payments will be charged at the higher rate of £12.
If you can only attend a limited number of workshops in a month – for instance are going away on holiday – the option one fee of £12 (in advance) is applied for the other workshops - please discuss this with Jeth.
“I’m on a low wage can I get a discount?”
Yes mate - come and talk to Jeth.
Option 3) “I want to train together with my son - can we have a deal?”
Yes! For men’s classes, if your son is 11 to 17 years old, you can both train together for just £12 per workshop (Monthly PAYG, like the other students). You will commit to supervising and training with your child at all times while in the class.
A lot of parents/ carers worry about their kids these days, this is a great way to support your child and spend quality time with them too.
This deal is also available for women’s training - please contact Jeth.
Option 4) “ Are there belts or gradings?”
Yes, all students start at “Foundation” level and progress through FREE club gradings, so that they can track their progress.
There are ten levels, with 10 being the equivalent of a black belt in other methods like martial art/sport combat/combatives systems.
Jeth shares a hybrid course of universal fighting ideas as well as the “Force Necessary” course in which he is a master level trainer.
To progress you must commit to put the hours in and be able to perform the material through course assessment and be knowledgeable in the required theory too - we do not supply grades for money or just showing up.
If you are trained in another system, this will be considered too - we like training with everyone and the knowledge you already have is useful!
Many students want to just enjoy the training and learn for personal knowledge and that’s great with us.
Others wish to go further and commit to the more formal route of qualifications in the Force Necessary (USA) syllabus, there are fees that apply to this area and we can arrange certification for you through W.Hock Hochheim in Dallas, USA.
This option is open to all and is completely optional.
For more information, please email Jeth or ask at a workshop.
7 - Refunds:
Workshops are written specifically for the individuals attending and include student development:
Refunds are not issued if you cannot attend/ cancel.
Refunds will be issued in the rare event that the workshop is cancelled for any reason by the instructor.
8 - Safe training for all:
You accept that, whilst all reasonable care is taken, self-defence training has inherent risks and that your instructor is not legally responsible for any accidents or injuries which may occur whilst you are training at their class.
Training is “old-school” on wooden floors - remember: a lot of stuff that works on mats will not work so well on pavements - expect the occasional bruise and bump.
You will train responsibly and show care for the health and well being of your fellow trainees.
You also understand that you are expected to maintain a standard of behaviour, both during training and in general, which will not bring Force Necessary into disrepute.
You will attend workshops in appropriate clothing for training:
For both men’s and women’s workshops, comfortable jeans (ideally with a belt for knife drills), t shirt and trainers are ideal.
Please remove jewellery, watch and glasses. Please bring water.
Training involves close contact with other students, please be considerate to others and be clean and attend in clean clothing.
Training involves conditioning for fighting.
Expect to be active, maintain your fitness in your own time as well.
If you need advice on this, please ask Jeth who will be happy to help you. At the same time, this is not a boot camp - use your head and pace yourself as you need to, you are learning to protect yourself not run yourself down!
9 - Use of workshop content:
Training involves learning less than lethal through to lethal force options - You promise never to use the skills that you are taught against any person, except legally, morally and ethically for the defence of yourself, your family or friends in the instance of extreme danger, unprovoked attack, the support of law and order and in accordance with UK self-defence law.
Jeth Randolph reserves the right to withdraw training from any individual(s) not agreeing to or failing to uphold these terms and conditions or acting in any way detrimental to the values of Force Necessary UK.
Training participation agreement
Before attending training (Terms and conditions):
Do you suffer from any illnesses? Or have ANY medical issue that your instructor needs to know about?
Are you on any medication? Please indicate this to the instructor BEFORE you start training.
Have you ever been a victim of violent crime? Please indicate to the instructor any aspects of the training that you may feel concerned/anxious about. This will be treated in absolute confidence.
By agreeing to take part in weekly group workshop training I agree to the following:
I am over 18 years old (Students 11 to 17 years can attend for free but MUST be partnered with a paying adult guardian at all times). See this post for full details:
I undertake to abide by the terms and conditions of Force Necessary, as explained by its instructor.
I am medically fit to undertake intensive training.
A mouth guard and groin guard are recommended. After your first session you will be required to attend with your own focus mitts and other recommended kit. We try to minimise all student costs but these items will need to be sourced for home practice as well as workshops. Ask Jeth for info.
10 - Workshop content:
You understand that this training involves simulated confrontation, bad language and scenarios based on realistic physical aggression and behaviour. Weekly group training is adult themed, and ALL contexts of aggression and violence are covered to give the trainee a full range of preparedness.
You understand that you are free to sit out any activity that I am not comfortable with by notifying the instructor.
